after packing up the tent and going to get some thing that was being charged up - the more
years i travel the more e-junk i seen to get (that needs to be charged up some how along the
way - one day i might get around to making up a charger the runs off my front wheel for
charging up things that run on usb power like my phone) once i do get on the road i head up
the hill on the gravel road before taking care to the down hill and back on to the tar seal -
looks like i will have a side/head wind for most of the day . stoping at a shop for an ice cream
to get me into town (hum i need to cut down on the ice cream some how : ) as im eating my
ice cream its starts to rain - some reason i find this funny - may be a sign i been on the road to
long : ) back on the bike riding in the rain - whats a little rain im not going to melt ( im not
made of sugar you know : ) heading into town i decide where i need to go before heading for
the supper market food for the next 2 days then to the info center for a new map -yep im off
the map now . heading out of town the road runs over rolling hills with the weather being off
and on showers - take the rain gear off then 5 mins latter put it back on as the rain comes
back . after some time the hills flatted out as the road run beside the coast. at a place around 10 km from waipu i stop for some thing to eat - as im stop on the side of the road i see some one on a load touring bike coming from the other way so i head over to say hi using sign langes as the rider don't seem to talk much English we chat for a few mins before heading off to keep riding - before he goes he gives me an apple . as i ride along the road there a few km of road works to get though then its time to turn off this busy road (S.H.1 on to some back roads to head around the brynderuwyn hills riding the road to waipu out to the coast passing a few small towns along the way - waipu cove, langs beach . riding until its starts to get dark i find a place to set up camp - as i set up my tent one of the tent poles break so i fix it with a pice of pipe before waiting up my suff for the blog down on paper then its time for sleep
