Te Araroa to some where 66 km

after leaving the camping ground i get into the town of  Te Araroa getting some food before head down the  20 km no exit road to east cape light house. the road is very rough in places (about 15 km of the road is gravel and it had been grader not that long ago ) there is about 5 km of tar seal what makes a nice change from bumping over the gravel parts of the road. at the end of the road there is a parking place for cars and a walkway up a lot of steps to the light house. after walking up the hill to the light house I take some photos I don't get to go to this part of nz very much - maybe 2 times in the last 10 years) and have a chat to some people also having a look at the light house before head back down to the road where I have some food before heading back along the road to Te araroa where I get some food for the rest of the day  before heading up the first of 3 big hills for the day before setting up camp just off the road at the top of the last hill near sun set.
